Responsibilities

We're seeking a proactive and analytical Technical Purchaser to help scale our operations.  This is an integral role with opportunity to work in a high-tech engineering environment supporting global customers, and exposure to strategic supply chain initiatives.

Scope of responsibilities

  • Procurement of goods and services

  • Place and manage purchase orders for technical components, materials, and non-project requirements

  • Track order status to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Maintain accurate and timely procurement data in the ERP system
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and controls

  • Strategic supply chain management

  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to support quality, performance and cost improvements

  • Support supply chain initiatives, such as multi-sourcing, demand and inventory planning, supplier evaluations, and cost optimisation
  • Support digitalisation and process improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or a related field – or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in procurement or production planning
  • Able to grasp technical concepts and specifications of technical components, materials and manufacturing processes
  • Experience in industrial equipment or high-mix low-volume manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
