About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sushi Chef / Omakase Chef to join our team at Kazuki Omakase Pte Ltd, a renowned restaurant located in Bugis, Central Region. As a fulltime Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional Japanese cuisine and providing an exceptional dining experience to our guests.

What you'll be doing

  1. Prepare and serve a variety of sushi, sashimi and other Japanese dishes to the highest standards
  2. Ensure the efficient and smooth running of the kitchen during service
  3. Maintain the highest levels of food safety and hygiene practices
  4. Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes
  5. Work with our head chef to uphold the restaurant's culinary standards

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Sushi Chef or Omakase Chef in a high-end Japanese restaurant
  2. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in traditional Japanese cuisine preparation techniques
  3. Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
  4. Passion for creating visually appealing and flavourful Japanese dishes
  5. Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen management best practices
  6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  7. Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
