Mechanical Engineer

Location: Singapore

Employment Type: Full-Time (5.5 days per week) | Site-Based / HQ-Based (depending on project)

About the Company

Our client is a reputable and well-established M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) engineering contractor in Singapore, recognized for delivering high-quality building services across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and oversee mechanical engineering works for building construction projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise site installations of HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
  • Review and interpret M&E drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and resolve technical issues on site.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and method statements as required.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in M&E contracting, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in building projects (e.g., ACMV, plumbing, fire protection).
  • Familiar with local building codes, standards, and authority submission requirements.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
