Job Description
NUS College is the honours college of NUS, and conducts the outreach and admissions process in collaboration and partnership with the Office of Admissions, partner faculties, and other partners in NUS. This position performs the critical role of supporting admission and student outreach, thereby enhancing and enriching the experience of prospective students.
We are happy to share that in the recent admission exercise, NUS College drew 10,000 applications for 400 places.
Reporting Manager
Head of Admissions-Outreach, NUS College
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement outreach strategies through information analysis
• Plan and coordinate both in-person and online outreach efforts to schools and other stakeholders
• Partner with the NUS Office of Admissions on outreach efforts
• Support the Admissions Committee in their critical function in admissions
• Collaborate with NUS College student ambassadors on outreach and manage the student ambassador programme
• Manage and implement operational plans for the yearly admission exercise
• Oversee planning and execution on interviews, assessments of students' applicants. Act as the primary point of contact for interviewer and applicants.
• Any other duties as assigned, including cross-functional projects.
Qualifications
• A good University degree
• Possess at least 12-16 years of relevant work experience
• Able to display tact and discretion in handling admissions information
• Organised and meticulous with attention to detail
• Articulate and confident in public presentations
• Passionate about education and/or youth, and interested in admissions and outreach
• Able to work on weekends (with time-off compensation) to oversee outreach efforts on weekends
• Has strong commitment to service delivery and able to multi-task and maintain calm under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Responsible and aware of the key role played in the admissions process, ability to adhere to timelines for the admissions process
• Mature and able to interact well with all levels of stakeholders
• Able to work independently while displaying respect and willingness to learn and respect team goals
• A good team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in English language and Microsoft Office
• Possess basic analytics skills (trends, statistics)
