The Role

You will be part of a dynamic engineering team, supporting either the construction phase of new facilities or the operations and maintenance of existing plants. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting engineers in supervising construction progress and ensuring compliance with design specifications and statutory requirements.
  • Working closely with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate project and facility works.
  • Participating in testing, commissioning, and acceptance of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.
  • Attending local and overseas factory acceptance tests to verify the quality and performance of major equipment and systems.
  • Leading a team of technical staff in coordinating maintenance and repair works to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
  • Implementing preventive maintenance and overhaul programs for electrical, control, and mechanical equipment.
  • Managing contracts related to operations, maintenance, or building services equipment.
  • Promoting workplace safety by enforcing permit-to-work systems and supervising contractor compliance.
  • Assisting in developing standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and equipment testing programs.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and workplace safety.
  • Performing shift work if required to support plant operations.

What We Are Looking For

  • Diploma or Nitec in an Engineering discipline.
  • For Diploma holders: Preferably 3 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates may also be considered).
  • For Nitec holders: Preferably 6–8 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional certifications such as Licensed Electrical Worker, Boiler Attendant Certificate, or Workplace Safety & Health Officer will be advantageous.
  • Strong technical knowledge with good analytical and problem-solving skills; knowledge in solid waste management is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with software such as Navisworks and Primavera P6 will be beneficial.
  • Independent, resourceful, and a good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work in a waste-to-energy facility and perform rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, if required.
