Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled API Lead to design, develop, and deliver high-quality applications aligned with business and technical requirements. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable microservices, user interfaces, and APIs while following Agile and DevOps best practices.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with a team of developers to design algorithms and application workflows

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code based on functional and technical specifications

• Implement solutions in alignment with business objectives and enterprise standards

• Verify, deploy, and support applications across environments

• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing software systems

• Gather, analyze, and incorporate user feedback to improve application functionality

• Recommend and implement continuous improvements to code and processes

• Create and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and estimations

• Prepare and present sprint demos to Product Owners and incorporate feedback

Requirements

• Experience working in Agile development environments, preferably Scrum

• Strong experience in software design and development using test-driven development practices

• Hands-on experience building microservices using Java (8/11) and Spring Boot

• Experience developing frontend/UI components using ReactJS, AngularJS, or VueJS

• Strong understanding of API design and development, including Swagger, OAuth 2.0, and JWT

• Experience writing unit tests using JUnit 5 and Mockito

• Experience writing integration tests for microservices

• Experience working with Spring JPA and databases such as MariaDB and MongoDB

• Hands-on experience with container platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes

• Experience with DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, and Veracode

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automating deployments

• Experience with event-driven and messaging systems such as Apache Kafka (preferred)

• Experience with integration tools such as ActiveMQ, IBM MQ, and Apache Camel (preferred)

• Experience with service discovery tools such as Consul (preferred)

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
