Regional Tax Manager | Strategic & Advisory Focus | APAC Coverage

Are you a dynamic tax professional with deep expertise in the Asia-Pacific region? Our client-a leading multinational-is seeking a Regional Tax Manager to drive both strategic tax planning and compliance across APAC markets.

This is a rare opportunity to lead high-impact initiatives in M&A, BEPS compliance, transfer pricing, and digital tax transformation, while collaborating with regional finance, legal, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end regional tax agenda, from corporate tax reporting and planning to risk management and audits.
  • Ensure full compliance with evolving transfer pricing policies and country-specific tax regulations across APAC.
  • Design and implement tax-efficient structures, advising on incentives, entity classification, and tax authority engagement.
  • Provide expert tax support in M&A activities, including integration and restructuring strategies.
  • Lead proactive tax planning initiatives tied to market entry, supply chain optimization, and legislative changes.
  • Collaborate on regional intercompany transactions, forecasting, and budgeting for tax-related matters.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver value-driven tax incentive projects.
  • Champion tax digitalization by automating dashboards and improving effective tax rate planning.
What We're Looking For
  • A degree in Accountancy or related discipline; professional credentials (ISCA, ACCA, CPA) are a strong advantage.
  • A well-rounded tax background (50% compliance / 50% advisory).
  • At least 5 years of tax experience, preferably starting in a Big 4 firm and progressing into a commercial, regional role.
  • Experience within the manufacturing sector and exposure to multinational operations across Asia-Pacific.
  • Proven experience with digital tax tools or tax portal implementations.
  • Strong working knowledge of BEPS principles, regional tax laws, and deadlines.
