**Director, Products & Portfolio (M/F/D)**

The Star Alliance headquarters in Singapore, coordinates the global activities of the Alliance including managing joint projects on behalf of its 26 member airlines.
Based in Singapore, the **Director, Products & Portfolio **position is a critical leadership position that reports directly to the **Vice President Corporate Strategy **, in the Corporate Strategy Business Unit. In this role you will collaborate extensively with leaders and all employees, mostly with our Customer Experience and Digital & Technology heads.
The **Director, Products & Portfolio **will be responsible for overseeing the entire Star Alliance Products Portfolio lifecycle. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, competitive landscape, business objectives aligned with the Corporate Plan and Strategy, and a strong focus on achieving a positive Return on Investment (ROI).
**Job Summary**
**Products Portfolio Strategy and Lifecycle management**:
- Support the Customer Experience heads to define individual product requirements, specifications, and features based on market needs and customer feedback, considering the financial implications of development decisions and organizational objectives, emphasizing member carrier's adoption and end customer satisfaction.
- Lead competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation with a clear financial impact.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product portfolio strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals.
- Oversee the entire product portfolio, emphasizing the financial impact of each product initiative. Make data-driven decisions to prioritize and allocate resources effectively across different product initiatives, with a keen eye on maximizing ROI. Conduct regular portfolio reviews to assess the financial performance of each product and adjust the portfolio as needed.
**Team Leadership and Development**
- Build and lead a high-performing product team, providing mentorship and guidance to team members on understanding and optimizing ROI. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the product organization, emphasizing the financial goals of the company.
**Stakeholder Communication and Financial Management**
- Work closely with Customer Experience, Member Services and Marketing teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies for new products, emphasizing member carrier's adoption.
- Communicate product portfolio strategies, roadmaps, and updates to executive leadership, stakeholders, and other relevant member carriers' teams, highlighting the expected ROI.
- Manage the product budget, ensuring cost-effective development and maximizing ROI throughout the product lifecycle. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product success, including financial metrics, and adjust strategies as needed to meet ROI targets.
**Your Profile**
- A minimum of 8 years work experience in a Products Portfolio Management in a leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in product management, with a track record of successful product launches and a demonstrated ability to deliver positive ROI.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on driving financial results.
- Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, including a deep understanding of how product strategies impact ROI.
- Ability to monitor market trends and identify opportunities for product innovation with a clear financial impact.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate product strategies and decisions.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and assess ROI.
- Proficiency in financial analysis to evaluate the cost-effectiveness and revenue potential of product initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of financial principles and metrics, with a proven ability to manage budgets and make decisions that positively impact ROI.
- Experience in conducting analyses for product development projects and portfolio management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a focus on adapting strategies to achieve optimal results.
