About the role

Guilin Garden Restaurant Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team in the Central and East Region. As the Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our vibrant restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with a passion for management to contribute to the success of our thriving establishment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting the General Manager in leading and motivating the restaurant team to deliver outstanding customer experiences
  2. Overseeing shift schedules, staff training, and performance management to maintain high service standards
  3. Monitoring inventory, purchasing, and cost control to optimise operational efficiency
  4. Liaising with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  5. Addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly and professionally
  6. Implementing and enforcing policies and procedures to maintain compliance with industry regulations
  7. Assisting in the development and execution of marketing initiatives to drive customer engagement and growth

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the hospitality industry
  2. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  3. Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
  4. Proficient in inventory management, financial reporting, and budgeting
  5. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Relevant qualifications or certifications in hospitality management or a related field
