Hotel Duty Manager – Orchard

Contract: 3–6 months (with potential for permanent conversion)

Salary: Up to $3,900/month

Working Hours: Up to 44 hours/week, including shifts and night duties

Location: Orchard

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and service-oriented Hotel Duty Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. You will support Front Office operations, coordinate with other departments, and maintain hotel service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations and ensure smooth functioning of the Front Office.
  • Welcome guests warmly, provide personalised service, and resolve guest issues efficiently.
  • Perform check-in/check-out procedures accurately using the property management system.
  • Collaborate with Housekeeping, Engineering, F&B, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor room availability, occupancy, and revenue, coordinating with housekeeping and revenue teams.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and review daily arrivals, VIP guests, and events.
  • Assist in training and orientation of staff on service standards and operational procedures.
  • Maintain records of guest feedback, complaints, and follow-up actions.
  • Uphold high standards of conduct, presentation, and hygiene for yourself and the team.
  • Promote in-house sales, facilities, and upselling initiatives to maximise revenue.

Requirements:

  • Minimum supervisory-level experience in hotel rooms division.
  • Strong guest service, communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Service-oriented, energetic, friendly, and self-motivated personality.
  • Well-presented and groomed at all times.
  • Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights.
  • Experience with Opera / Opera Cloud preferred.
