Engineering Manager

• Responsible for managing the assigned EPIC Tendering and Execution Phases for BH Redevelopment Project– Top Side & Jacket as detailed in the SOW.
• Deputise on behalf of company's as the Representative's nominated deputy in Contracts.
• Formulate project execution strategies and review Project Execution Plans.
• Monitor project schedules and initiate remedial action where necessary to ensure compliance with project milestones.
• Administer the Contracts in close coordination with Contract department and resolve contractual problems/disputes arising during execution of the Contract.
• Ensure project risks are periodically assessed and reported according to the risk management plans. Review/monitor implementation of mitigating actions.
• Facilitate interfaces with other relevant company's Departments, Government Ministries/Agencies and Third Parties for all project requirements.
• Monitor compliance to applicable HSE standards/regulations and Project Quality Standards in close coordination with QHSE engineers.
• Participate in the annual budget preparation exercise for BH Field Project (Top Side & Jacket), review/approve Project AFEs/CBPs, and monitor budget performance as per approved plans.
• Review manpower planning for BH Field Project (Top Side & Jacket) and identify resource requirement/deficiencies ahead of requirement and initiate resource mobilisation.
• Validate and endorse the Value of Work Done against Contractor invoices.
• Review Project Handover and Completion process leading to issue/sign-off of mechanical completion certificates, handover certificates, timely approval of SPIRs and SAP-CMMS leading to handover of project to asset holder.
• Facilitate timely project close-out process.
• Review and endorse progress reports of projects for internal reporting.
• Review and provide inputs to new company's procedures and guidelines and update of existing ones.
• Assign work to subordinates and monitor their performance. Provide guidance and support to Senior Project Engineers and coordinate with Lead Construction Supervisor for project execution.
• Supervise the tendering process including development of tendering strategy/tender plan, pre-qualification of Contractors, review of tender documents, monitor bidding process/submissions, review of relevant evaluation reports for submission to the tender committee till successful award of Contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent from an internationally recognized University with 15 years minimum relevant project experience, of which 10 years in Project Management in Offshore oil & gas industry.
• Previous experience in management and execution of EPIC contracts for Offshore Oil and Gas Projects related to Topsides, Jackets, Brownfield modifications, Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation and Commissioning.
• Work experience in Tender preparation and Tendering process.
• Effective communication (presentation, report writing, and management of meetings) skills.
• Sound understanding of Health, Safety, Environmental and QA/QC requirements and their application in execution of projects.
• Must be familiar with all relevant engineering and design requirements for projects, including Shell DEPs, and applicable offshore oil and gas international codes and standards.
