Job Description:

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with experience in interior design (ID) and carpentry works. The role includes preparing project quotations, costing, and tender documents, managing site progress, and coordinating with subcontractors. You will handle quantity take-offs, payment claims, and ensure all ID and carpentry works meet project specifications and client expectations.

Responsibilities:


• Prepare project quotations, especially for interior design (ID) and carpentry works.

• Prepare tender and contract documents in accordance with building and construction regulations.

• Prepare payment claims and variation orders for all ID and carpentry-related projects.

• Prepare detailed project costing for interior fit-out and carpentry works.

• Perform quantity take-offs for materials, joinery, and ID finishes.

• Provide daily progress updates on assigned projects to the Project Director.

• Oversee overall site progress, ensuring smooth execution of ID and carpentry installations.

• Liaise with subcontractors, carpenters, and workers on work progress and schedule.

• Ensure all work follows the approved safe work procedures.

• Familiarize and review the scope of works, especially for ID and carpentry details.

• Maintain and monitor project schedule, work hours, budget, and material expenditures.

• Attend site shows/meetings and liaise directly with clients.

• Excellent skills in AutoCAD software for ID and carpentry drawing preparation.

• Prepare as-built drawings and/or construction drawings based on ID and carpentry requirements.

• Review and amend drawings/plans provided, ensuring accuracy in joinery and interior details.

Requirements


• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or related field.

• Experience in interior design (ID) and carpentry/fit-out projects.

• Strong knowledge of measurement, costing, and tendering procedures.

• Able to read and understand ID, carpentry, and construction drawings.

• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of SAP Ariba is an advantage.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
