What you'll be doing?- Develop and implement safety plans: Introduce, develop, and reinforce WSH and Fire Safety plans to continually improve performance across all facilities.
- Ensure compliance: Safeguard personnel by ensuring adherence to WSH Act, Fire Safety Act, and other relevant legislations.
- Provide expert guidance: Work closely with facilities and project managers to address WSH and Fire Safety issues and resolve non-compliances.
- Conduct inspections: Independently perform periodic site inspections to ensure all activities comply with MOM, NEA, SCDF, and other related regulations.
- Stay current: Keep abreast of emerging technical and professional aspects in the field of workplace safety and health.
- Support initiatives: Contribute to corporate WSH and Fire Safety yearly initiatives, WSH playbook, and procedures.
- Manage operational matters: Handle tasks such as sourcing quotations, seeking client approvals, and preparing AORs.
- Assist site team: Provide support to the operational site team as required.
- Emergency response: Assume duty as SIC on rotation as part of the CERT team.
- Registered WSHO: Must be a registered MOM Workplace Safety and Health Officer with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Fire Safety expertise: Registered under SCDF with valid fire safety manager certificate and minimum 3 years practical experience.
- Educational background: Minimum WSQ Specialist Diploma in Safety & Health or Degree in Occupational Health or relevant field.
- Legal knowledge: In-depth understanding of WSH Act, regulations, and Codes of Practice.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Communication skills: Strong decision-making abilities and effective communication across different levels.
- Flexibility: Able to commute via a 7-minute ferry ride to the work location from Punggol Point Jetty.
