Title of Hiring Manager: Lead, SEAT BU Medical and Scientific Affairs and Medical Innovation Wider Asia

Number of internship positions: 1

Preferred Period of Internship Required: January June/July 2026

Preferred School/Course of Intern: Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Health/ Biological Sciences

We are looking to provide a learning opportunity for an Intern in the Wider Asia Medical and Scientific Affairs team. Focus will be on Medical Innovation which will support the innovation programs for Haleon R&D. The Intern will work under the supervision of the Medical Innovation Lead and collaborate with other functions of Commercial, Innovation, Manufacturing, Consumer & Product Understanding, Regulatory, Insights and New Product Development Scientists in the company to provide appropriate and timely input into our innovation program.

Responsibilities:

You will be required to:

  • Support on-going Innovation projects and workstreams, details to be determined during onboarding prior to start of the internship based on current business needs and strengths of trainee
  • End to end development journey of claim
  • Be trained on the platforms/Systems: - ProMotion etc for preparation, approval/ review of content
  • Assist in the medical communication and external advocacy efforts e.g., with HCPs, Scientific Exchange in team meetings or by different channels (F2F, virtual, calls, Mail)
  • Cross-functional team involvement in project.
  • Be trained on the different processes to generate the scientific documents like Claim Support substantiations, Publications, Response documents to Health Authorities, Medical information
  • Understand the process of the benefit risk of a product and evaluate the product's safety and efficacy

Learning Outcomes

Throughout the course of the internship, you will attain the following learning objectives:

  • Obtain high level overview of the medical affairs processes, activity, quality control, and its position in the R&D lifecycle.
  • Experience in presenting in a multidisciplinary team based on scientific evidence generation.
  • Training on Processes and platforms that support develop scientific communication.
  • High level scientific and business aspects of Haleon portfolio.

  • Educational background – studying Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Health/ Biological Sciences related degree (undergraduates completed at least Year 1 when starting role or postgraduates).
