Position Summary Reporting to the Regional Head of Medical Strategy, Performance & Operations, the Regional Medical Lead – Innovation Programs works across the International region to design, adopt, and implement digital technology and capability solutions. This role collaborates closely with Regional Medical Operations Managers, Country Medical Directors, Regional Medical Data and Technology Directors, and the country medical excellence network to translate operational challenges into innovative solutions that drive efficiency and enable data‐driven decision‐making. The role also contributes to shaping global digital and capability solutions for medical affairs and ensures their pull‐through into regional and local markets, balancing consistency and scalability with fit‐for‐purpose application. Key Responsibilities Solution Design: Partner with global, regional, and local stakeholders to identify business needs and input into the design of digital and technology solutions and capability programs that address operational challenges in medical affairs. Implementation and Optimization: Lead the regional rollout, adoption, and optimization of new tools, platforms, and processes, ensuring alignment with compliance and governance standards. Innovation Culture: Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within medical affairs, providing training, guidance, and support to enhance digital capabilities across teams. Cross‐Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global and regional medical data and technology teams, as well as global medical capability colleagues, to integrate medical affairs needs into broader enterprise solutions. Feedback and Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, collecting feedback and insights to drive further improvement and maximize business impact. Consistency in Execution: Ensure consistent execution across multiple countries, balancing local flexibility with regional/global standards. Compliance: Safeguard adherence to all relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards in the design and deployment of digital tools and processes. Qualifications/Skills Basic Qualifications First degree in a medical, scientific, data science, or business discipline (or equivalent). Experience working in or with medical affairs. Proven track record of project management, delivery, and change management. Experience in the design, development, or execution of solutions for data technology or capability building. Exceptional matrix team leadership skills with multiple stakeholders and functions. Strong organizational skills to maintain high productivity, innovation, and priority‐setting for on‐time and on‐budget implementation of activities. Proven ability to work with integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail. Strong technical/analytical skills to identify and solve problems. Excellent oral and written communication skills for effectively interfacing with external agencies, all levels of management, and departments within the company. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a medical, scientific, data science, or business discipline (or equivalent). Financial negotiation skills with external providers. Ability to understand operational challenges and translate them into effective technology or capability solutions. Experience spending time in medical affairs business environments alongside MSLs, Medical Leads, and Country Medical Directors to identify needs and shape solutions. Strong influencing skills to navigate complexity and lead without authority in a matrix environment. Experience in evaluating feedback and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Work Arrangement This role requires on‐site presence with occasional travel across the International region.
