Role Overview:
The HR Intern will support Peak Energy's HR team by focusing on onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and project management etc. Under the guidance of the HR Manager, the intern will work on streamlining HR operations, contributing to employee experience improvement initiatives, and participating in key HR projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding & Offboarding:
- Facilitate seamless onboarding by organizing orientation sessions, assigning mentors, and ensuring new hires receive necessary resources.
- Prepare and maintain new hire documentation while ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
- Manage offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews, revoking system access, and coordinating final payroll settlements.
Performance Management Support:
- Assist in administering performance reviews by gathering data and managing schedules.
- Collaborate with the HR team to improve processes for employee goal-setting, feedback, and development.
- Contribute to designing engagement activities to align employee goals with Peak Energy's mission.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and propose process improvements within onboarding, offboarding, and performance review systems.
- Work on HR automation projects using tools like Microsoft Power Automate and SharePoint to reduce manual tasks and enhance efficiency.
Project & Documentation Management:
- Participate in HR-related projects, including process audits and HRIS enhancements.
- Maintain accurate HR records using Greenhouse and Akrivia ATS and assist in tracking key metrics.
- Support the preparation of reports on employee onboarding, performance evaluations, and engagement analytics.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Lists, Power Automate) is highly preferred.
- Previous experience or coursework in HR operations or project management is a plus.
