The Role Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for new clients during the onboarding phase, addressing inquiries and resolving challenges.
  • Accountable for coordination across the different teams that are involved in the onboarding process (Relationship Managers, Client Managers, KYC, Credit, Tax, Legal, FM Contracts, Data Teams and Channels activation) ensuring adherence to agreed SLAs
  • Initiates client onboarding requests and performs client outreach, document collection, guidance, and advocacy for the client from point of onboarding.
  • Ensure all onboarding activities adhere to local and international regulatory standards, including AML/KYC, FATCA, CRS, and other applicable frameworks.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with client onboarding, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Coordinate with the Front Office on client account openings and periodic KYC reviews.
  • Assess new account applications and KYC documentation for completeness and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Follow up with Business Units on document deficiencies related to onboarding and periodic KYC.
  • Verify and maintain proper records of customer identification and supporting documents before account activation.
  • Conduct name screening using AML systems
  • Analyze screening results and client profiles to identify potential risks and adverse news, updating the AML system as required.
  • Ensure all CDD activities align with AML/CFT regulations and internal policies

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to engage customer of all levels with assertiveness.
  • Passion for sales and providing excellent customer service, with ability to deal with people of all levels in complex and difficult situations.
  • Able to articulate and hold a professional corporate presentation to key stakeholders.
  • Team player with initiative and assertiveness.
  • Diploma / Degree holder
  • 2-3 years in onboarding offshore clients.
