About the role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Quek Hock Seng Construction Pte Ltd, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects. Based in the Jurong East West Region, this full-time position will see you providing strategic cost management advice and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within budget.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Negotiating and finalising contract terms with clients and subcontractors
- Monitoring project costs and cash flow, and providing regular financial reports
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing efficient processes
- Collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve financial issues
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations
- Mentoring and guiding junior quantity surveyors in the team
What we're looking for
- 8+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong technical knowledge of construction cost management, contract administration, and project control
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate financial risks
- Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and MS Office suite
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to liaise with various stakeholders
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Know to Cubicost and bluebeam software will be an advantage.
