About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Creative Director in Floral Design to join our client company in China. As a full-time Creative Director, you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of our floral design projects, with the opportunity to work on exciting campaigns and events. This role offers a competitive salary and a generous housing allowance.
What you'll be doing
- Lead design project for artificial flowers, silk florals, faux botanicals, and artificial plants
- Conceptualise and develop innovative floral design concepts that align with the company's brand and client objectives
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of floral design projects, from initial planning to final installation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, events, and procurement, to ensure seamless project execution
- Develop seasonal artificial floral collections aligned with North American and European calendar events
- Familiar with US & EU Artificial Floral Market and present artificial floral design concepts and trend insights to US and EU clients
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and materials, and incorporate them into the company's floral design offerings
- Understanding of customer design preferences and pricing expectations across all segments to ensure product offerings are strategically aligned with market demand
- Work closely with Designer, Product Development team, and Sourcing Dept. to systematically identify and evaluate innovative materials, fabrics, and finish techniques that elevate product aesthetics, performance, and cost efficiency while aligning with customer expectations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners to deliver high-quality floral products and services
- Shadow Head of Creative to learn artificial floral business strategy and team leadership
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Floral Design, or related field
- Floral design certifications or specialized training in artificial floral arrangement preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in artificial floral, silk flowers, or faux botanical design/development
- Proven track record of conceptualising and executing high-impact floral design solutions for a variety of clients and events
- Excellent knowledge of floral design principles, techniques, and materials, with the ability to stay ahead of industry trends
- Demonstrated knowledge of US and/or EU artificial floral markets
- Effective leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team of designers
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of floral design projects
- Experience with artificial floral OEM/ODM manufacturing processes
- Fluency in English and conversational Mandarin for internal communication
