Position Overview:

The food court stall/kitchen assistant plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer service by preparing and serving to customers at the food court stall. The position focuses on assisting with food preparation, including assembling dishes, and ensuring that the food is served promptly.The food court stall assistant will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Food Preparation and Cooking

  1. Ingredient Preparation

  2. Wash, peel, chop, mix, knead, and measure ingredients according to recipes.

  3. Prepare stocks, broths, and sauces essential.

  4. Ensure proper storage and labeling of prepped ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.

  5. Food Assembling and Portioning

  6. Accurately portion and assemble dishes based on customer orders.

  7. Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and ensure profitability.

  8. Cooking Assistance

  9. Operate kitchen equipment such as steamers, fryers, and stoves efficiently and safely.
    Reheat or toast pre-cooked items to order.

Hygiene and Cleanliness

  1. Workstation Cleaning

  2. Maintain cleanliness in food preparation and serving areas throughout shifts.

  3. Sanitize surfaces, tools, and equipment before, during, and after use.

  4. Equipment Maintenance

  5. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored properly.

  6. Report any malfunctions or damages to management promptly.

  7. Dishwashing and Utensil Management

  8. Wash and sanitize cutlery, crockery, and kitchen tools, ensuring readiness for use.

  9. Compliance with Food Safety Standards

  10. Follow all hygiene, safety, and sanitation guidelines as per HACCP or ISO22000 standards.

  11. Wear appropriate kitchen attire, including gloves, aprons, and hairnets, at all times.

Requirements:

  • ** Applicable to Singaporeans only due to quota limitations
  • Secondary school education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in food service, food court or customer service is preferred but not required.
  • Those with F&B experience will be favourably considered
  • Positive working attitude and a ready smile
  • Possess a valid Food Safety and Hygiene certification
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic maths skills for handling payments.
  • Able to join us within short notice
