Job Responsibilities

  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers based on MRP (Material Requirements Planning) data and demand forecasts.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards are met.
  • Track order status and expedite or defer deliveries as needed to align with production requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and quality, to resolve procurement issues.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives by identifying sourcing opportunities and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Purchasing related certification is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel is a bonus
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace working environment independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, meticulous, resourceful, able to multi-task
  • Contract position could be extended or converted to full-time position subject to strategic business development and planning
