Senior / Centre Manager | Nursing Home

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-driven Centre Manager to assume full operational and clinical oversight of our nursing home. This key leadership role requires a blend of advanced nursing management skills, financial acumen, and a deep commitment to quality resident care, ensuring the centre operates in full compliance with all regulatory standards while meeting business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Leadership & Operational Management

  2. Full P&L and Operational Ownership: Lead all aspects of the centre's operations, ensuring compliance with MOH inspection and licensing requirements.

  3. Financial & Resource Stewardship: Drive the centre's profitability targets through effective cost management, including proper oversight of food costs, minimizing waste, and ensuring the efficient use of all medical consumables and supplies.
  4. Business Development: Actively manage and ensure the centre's occupancy rate by directing strategies for new resident recruitment and existing resident retention.
  5. Resource Management: Maintain rigorous inventory control through regular audits and inspections.

  6. Clinical Excellence & Quality Assurance

  7. Holistic Care Leadership: Provide overall leadership for the holistic care management of all residents, coordinating effectively with the in-house rehab team, allied health professionals, and outsourced medical services.

  8. Clinical Quality Ownership: Lead the team in achieving the 5 Zeros Clinical Indicators: Zero Falls, Zero Medication Errors, Zero Nursing Home Acquired Pressure Injury, Zero Restraints, and Zero Nursing Home Acquired Infection.
  9. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all staff adhere to the Enhanced Nursing Home Standards (ENHS), HCSA guidelines, protocols, and standard operating procedures through adequate supervision and training.
  10. Quality Improvement: Initiate, lead, and implement Quality Improvement (QI) projects across all centres to continuously elevate standards of care and service.
  11. Care Management: Actively participate in Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT) and Person-Centred Care (PCC) sessions.

  12. Manpower & Talent Development

  13. Workforce Planning: Plan and execute effective, efficient manpower planning and staff scheduling that aligns with MOH guidelines, standards, and required skill mixes.

  14. Performance & Development: Lead talent management efforts by identifying high-potential staff, conducting training needs analyses, and providing continuous training, coaching, and mentoring to upgrade the skills and knowledge of all care staff.
  15. Appraisal & Discipline: Conduct annual performance appraisals for all staff and provide necessary coaching, training, and counselling.

  16. Stakeholder Engagement & Support

  17. Customer Experience: Drive effective resident and family engagement. Investigate and provide timely resolution for all feedback and complaints, escalating unresolved issues to HQ as necessary.

  18. Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with support departments to ensure smooth operational flow, including working closely with operations to maintain the building, facilities, and equipment.
  19. Organisational Support: Provide mentoring to newly promoted nursing leaders (NMs/ANMs) and assist in the setting up of new nursing homes as required.
  20. Reporting: Ensure timely submission of appropriate reports to all respective departments.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of working experience in healthcare or related setting.
  • Leadership Experience: More than 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity, ideally within a centre or care setting.
  • Licensing: Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a post-basic qualification in a relevant nursing specialty.
  • Attributes: A highly collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal communication skills, a strong customer-focus, and a commitment to quality outcomes.
Work Schedule:
  • 5-day work week (Total of 44 hours per week), with flexibility required for work-related exigencies outside of standard office hours (8 am to 5:30 pm).
