Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our team. The role involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining pumps, engines, and related equipment in both workshop and site environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Pump & Equipment Maintenance

  • Perform routine servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, high-pressure pumps, and related systems.

  • Dismantle, inspect, and assemble pump components (impellers, seals, bearings, shafts, etc.).
  • Carry out motor alignments, coupling checks, and vibration troubleshooting.

  • Engines & Drive Systems

  • Conduct maintenance on diesel and electric-driven pump sets.

  • Check and service engines (Perkins, Hatz, Detroit Diesel, etc.) including oil changes, filters, and cooling systems.

  • Workshop & Field Support

  • Perform on-site servicing, installation, and commissioning at customer locations (including marine, offshore, and construction sites).

  • Support warranty inspections, root-cause analysis, and preparation of service reports.

  • Health, Safety & Quality

  • Ensure all service jobs comply with company standards and safety regulations.

  • Maintain proper documentation of service activities, parts usage, and job reports.
  • Uphold workshop cleanliness and safe working practices.

Requirements
  • NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
  • At least 2–5 years of hands-on experience in pump, engine, or heavy equipment servicing (fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude may be considered).
  • Knowledge of pumps, rotating equipment, and mechanical seals preferred.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and service manuals.
  • Physically fit and willing to work in workshop and outdoor/onsite environments.
  • Class 3/3A driving license preferred.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
