Position Overview
The Intermediate Product Engineer for New Product Development (NPD) plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and launching innovative products within our organization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the engineer will contribute technical expertise, manage project deliverables, and ensure products meet quality, cost, and performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, development, and testing of new products from concept to launch.

• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and marketing teams to define product requirements and specifications.

• Generate and review engineering drawings, models, and documentation using CAD and other design tools.

• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and design validations to ensure robust product performance.

• Support prototyping, pilot builds, and scale-up activities, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Contribute to the development of test protocols and execute product testing to verify compliance with standards and regulations.

• Analyse data, prepare technical reports, and present findings to project stakeholders.

• Assist in managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.

• Continuously seek opportunities for product and process improvements, cost reduction, and innovation.
Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of experience in product development or a similar engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing or technology-driven environment.

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and familiarity with simulation tools.

• Strong understanding of product development processes, design for manufacturability, and quality systems.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills.

• Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative mindset.

• Knowledge of regulatory standards relevant to the industry (e.g., ISO, CE, UL) is an advantage.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, or advanced manufacturing techniques.

• Background in project management or exposure to agile development methodologies.

• Creativity, curiosity, and a passion for innovation.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
