Sales Specialist , Enterprise Data Sales
The EDS Sales Specialist will drive enterprise sales by building strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing consultative sales expertise around FactSet's Data and Technology Solutions and developing workflows and services to maximize client satisfaction and grow product deployment. In addition to developing an industry network and driving ASV around FactSet's Data Solutions, the specialist will partner with relevant FactSet teams to explore new and creative ways we can service our clients. The ideal candidate will be able to drive deployment where growth exists, and at the same time solidify our existing user base by partnering with sales and client solution generalists.
The Department
FactSet Enterprise Data Sales is responsible for deploying one of the industry's leading content platforms. Clients seamlessly access organized and connected content from FactSet and 3rd Party providers that is easily discoverable, explorable, and actionable under a unified data model. Data is delivered via a variety of technologies and formats including APIs, cloud-shares, application widgets and more traditional file transfers that meet the varied needs of our client's workflows. By enabling our clients to utilize their preferred choice of industry standard databases, programming languages, and data visualization tools, we empower them to focus on the core competencies needed to drive their business.
The Enterprise Data Sales team is responsible for over $320M in Annual Subscription Value (ASV), with a double-digit year-over-year growth rate. Our solutions include; Application Development, Pricing & Reference Data (PRD), Trading & Real-Time, Data as a Service (DaaS), data feeds/cloud delivery for Quant & Research, and GenAI data & technology provision.
Job Description
The Enterprise Data Sales team is seeking a Sales Specialist to drive our APAC sales efforts. Responsibilities include: prospecting, lead generation, increasing net ASV, servicing and maintaining current clients, and coordinating sales efforts for our solutions in the region. Activity and engagement with clients within the assigned territory is key
In addition, the Specialist will be expected to:
- Build and manage a solid pipeline across key client types (Regional AMs, Regional IBs, Fintech, Quant, HFs)
- Increase client awareness about FactSet's data solutions and establish/maintain C-level relationships within the client base
- Educate sales and consulting about our products and best practices
- Provide feedback to Product Development to enhance and improve our products
- Develop expert product and market knowledge
- Expand FactSet's solution footprint by Identifing opportunities and managing the sales process
- Coordinate trials and manage projects
Requirements
The Enterprise Data Solutions target client personnas include : Chief Data Officers & Data Management, Chief Technology/Operations Officers, Quant & Research, Data Science, Performance, Compliance, Trading and Fintech. An important part of the sales process is to discuss with clients the most appropriate way to deliver the data. Therefore, the ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively with all the above user groups on technical as well as data issues. In addition, we look for:
- 5 years relevant industry experience in a client facing role
- Subject matter expertise in data solutions and financial practitioner workflows
- Demonstrate an understanding in core industry trends and strategic initiatives being adopted by our clients - cloud, APIs, DaaS, GenAI etc.
- Display consistent willingness to educate sales teams on scalable off platform sales strategies.
- Experience working with sql, python or other coding languages a plus.
- Proven ability to identify and monetize opportunities within clients
- Enthusiasm, desire and a strong sense of initiative
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and capable of thinking creatively and strategically
- Fluent in English, other Asian language is an advantage
- Willingness to travel
