The Production Engineer is responsible for developing, refining, and overseeing the administration and coordination of production engineering projects, policies, processes, methods, and procedures. This role aims to enhance operational performance, minimize waste and delays, and drive cost reductions throughout the organization. This individual will support production transfers and introduce process optimizations to ensure seamless operations.

Your Responsibilities

Maintaining and Enhancing Existing Manufacturing Processes

• Utilize expertise in manufacturing processes, tooling, production equipment, assembly methods, and quality control standards to assess and improve processes, aiming to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
• Perform time studies and analyze standard data across various machines, assembly lines, and manual operations to identify opportunities for improvement in production methods, equipment layout, material handling, and resource utilization.
• Apply statistical methods to determine root causes of failures and recommend corrective actions to resolve issues, optimize product specifications, and improve processes.
• Offer technical support and guidance related to manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
• Design and implement new manufacturing methods and processes, supporting product development activities to enhance production capabilities.
• Effectively communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other relevant information to facilitate smooth production processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies, such as lean manufacturing, to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Design layouts of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency, optimizing space utilization and workflow.
• Design testing methods and evaluate finished products or process capabilities to establish standards and validate process requirements.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends to prepare comprehensive reports, providing insights for decision-making.
• Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department, ensuring consistency and compliance.

Project Management

• Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Quality Assurance

• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality departments to analyze statistical data and product specifications, establishing standards and defining quality and reliability objectives for finished products.

Cross-Functional and External Vendors Collaboration

• Collaborate with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product/process specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status to ensure alignment and successful project execution.

Mentoring and training

• Educate and train production staff on new or existing methods to ensure consistent and efficient operations.

Health and Safety

• Uphold strict adherence to health and safety regulations by proactively assessing and mitigating potential hazards.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in medical device manufacturing
• Engineering Management Experience: Proven track record in engineering management within the medical device industry, demonstrating leadership in cross-functional collaboration and process optimization.
• Advanced Manufacturing Methodologies: Experience with manufacturing processes and methodologies, including Lean, Kaizen, Kanban, and other advanced tools and concepts, to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Regulatory Compliance Expertise: In-depth knowledge of ISO 13485 and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to streamline production processes and enhance data-driven decision-making.
• Leadership and Time Management: Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results within established timelines.
• Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in diverse, multicultural environments
