About the role
As a Quantity Surveyor cum Project Engineer at Height Protection Solutions Pte Ltd, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects. Responsible for both cost estimation and project engineering, this full-time position is based in Ubi Area. You will be a key part of the team, contributing to the strategic objectives of the company.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects
- Analyse project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify resource requirements and develop cost projections
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
- Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reporting to stakeholders
- Collaborate with the project engineering team to ensure smooth implementation and delivery
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
What we're looking for
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques
- Proficient in the use of project management software and cost estimation tools
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify cost-effective solutions
- Familiarity with relevant construction regulations and standards
