About the role

As a Quantity Surveyor cum Project Engineer at Height Protection Solutions Pte Ltd, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects. Responsible for both cost estimation and project engineering, this full-time position is based in Ubi Area. You will be a key part of the team, contributing to the strategic objectives of the company.

What you'll be doing

  1. Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects
  2. Analyse project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify resource requirements and develop cost projections
  3. Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
  4. Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reporting to stakeholders
  5. Collaborate with the project engineering team to ensure smooth implementation and delivery
  6. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  7. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards

What we're looking for

  1. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  2. 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry
  3. Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques
  4. Proficient in the use of project management software and cost estimation tools
  5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders
  6. Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify cost-effective solutions
  7. Familiarity with relevant construction regulations and standards
