Our Unmanned & Integrated Systems business offers holistic solutions in system engineering and integration. We pioneer maritime robotics and autonomy solutions, provide system integration for complex naval and island air defence System-of-Systems (SoS), and take care of the operation and maintenance of Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence (C4I) systems. The Project Engineer oversees engineering projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications, are completed on schedule, and stay within budget. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing resources, and solving technical challenges to achieve project objectives.

Project Planning and Management:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Schedule and conduct regular project meetings to track progress and address any issues

Technical Oversight:

  • Review and understand project specifications, drawings, and other technical documents.
  • Ensure that engineering and technical standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the project team.

Resource Coordination:

  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other external parties.
  • Ensure that materials and equipment are available when needed and meet quality standards.

Quality Control and Assurance:

  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet required standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify the integrity of project work.
  • Address and resolve any quality issues that arise.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to manage risks.
  • Prepare contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.

Cost Management:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and tracked.
  • Evaluate financial performance and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Approve expenditures and ensure they align with the project budget.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and deliver progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate for future reference.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all project activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualities We Value

  • Knowledge in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Project Management or a related field.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) / Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience with specific industry software (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Proven experience in project management and engineering.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction processes, and project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
  • Office environment with regular visits to project sites.
  • Interaction with a diverse team including engineers, contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
  • May require occasional travel depending on the project location.
  • Singaporean only.
