Changi Airport Group (Singapore) Pte Ltd manages Changi International Airport in functions covering airport operations & management, air hub development, commercial activities and airport emergency service. The Airside Operations unit under Airport Management is critical in managing the capacity and efficiency of our airfield, allowing timely and safe movement of planes and passengers.

As an APST officer of Airside Operations, you will be part of a multi-skilled team on shift, trained to manage the 24/7 real-time airside operations. You are responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations from runway, taxiway and apron management to parking stands and airside resource allocation. This involves high precision control and proactively managing any disruption to ensure an efficient, effective and safe airside operations.

Airfield Management

  • Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the airfield's critical infrastructure, including wildlife hazard management at its runways, taxiways, apron stands and the surrounding areas
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards through inspections and audits
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies in the airside and coordinate among multiple agencies for the swift recovery to operations 

    Conduct investigations on incidents and prepare investigation reports

Flow Management

  • Oversee the effective and efficient operation at the apron, through optimum allocation of aircraft parking gates and stands
  • Maintain good situational awareness of the apron operations to ensure the timely turnaround of aircraft
  • Use real-time information to optimise resource allocation and achieve balance in both capacity and passenger experience
  • Manage and resolve any disruptions that may impact airport operations

Across both specialisations, you are expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the operational environment. You will be required to collaborate closely with air traffic controllers and ground handlers among other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma in any discipline, preferably with an interest in aviation.
  • Medically fit to work on 24/7 rotating shifts.
  • Able to multi-task and make decisions under pressure
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate well with both internal and external partners.
  • Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license.
