Role Summary

The project manager is accountable for the success and failure of a project. He should complete the project within time, budget, and acceptable deliverables to the maintenance team and Client.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve the Company's set KPI and communicate expected deliverables to the Team comprises of project engineer and supervisor.
  • Manage, organise and plan daily/weekly tasks for the Team in an effective and efficient manner
  • Attend kick off meetings, project progress meetings with clients and other parties
  • Request, review and approve quotation from Contractors based on scope of work and with reference to Framework EPC contract. And to seek management's approval with justification if it is not within the set budget
  • Vet & approve contractors invoice claim, control project Capax and take corrective actions to ensure Project is still within budget
  • Liaise with Contractors to develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Seek clearance from all relevant authorities, government agencies and client and ensure all documentations are in place as per ISO SOP.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders on work progress through the Company's project management tools
  • Manage contracts with Contractors by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Manage the expectation of internal stakeholders and various functions within the organisation to create a coherence work environment.
  • Manage relationship with external stakeholders (Client, relevant authorities, 3rd party inspectors) in a professional manner to ensure projects run smoothly.
  • Identify any potential safety risks within projects and putting in place strategies to mitigate any risks. To work with safety team to ensure all required Environmental, Health and Safety requirements are adhered to.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement. Conduct end project evaluation to assess how well the project was managed and preparing of end-project report.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of work experience in full spectrum of project management in public, government, and/or commercial projects, preferably Solar, Renewables, or Infrastructure/construction related sector
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills
  • Value alignment: stewardship, collaboration, innovation and with a spirit of excellence
