If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:Foundation IP Memory Circuit Design Engineer We are looking for energetic and passionate design engineers to join our Central Engineering Group and be part of an elite team responsible for the development of foundation IP for AI products including memory compilers, logic cells and custom macros of all types on the bleeding edge of process technology. We have multiple positions at all experience levels. Available Job ResponsibilitiesAnalyze different memory architectures and highlight the tradeoffsDesign and build memory or circuit blocks at the gate or transistor levelSimulate and analyze the circuit design using transistor level simulatorsExtract the layout and perform post-layout simulations and verificationFloorplan physical implementation and layout integration of design componentsIntegrate characterization flow to extract timing and power informationDevelop scripts to automate characterization flow, simulations, and verificationSpecify and verify various behavioral and physical memory modelsDocument the design specifications, behavioral description, and timing diagramsHelp specify silicon test plan and correlate silicon to simulation data Skillset RequiredStrong Expertise in development of memory compilers and custom macros of all typesDeep understanding of transistor level circuit behavior and device physicsDeep understanding of memory bitcell R/W margins and associated assist techniquesDeep understanding of signal integrity analysis, EM/IR analysis, and reliability analysisGood understanding of memory behavioral and physical modelsGood understanding of DFT schemes and chip level integrationProficient in running simulators, writing automation scripts, and are tools savvyGood communication, interpersonal, and leadership skillsMotivated, self-driven and good at multi-taskingQualificationsRequires a BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 8 years of related experienceBroadcom is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.  We will consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship, disability status, medical condition, pregnancy, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.  We will also consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records consistent with local law.If you are located outside USA, please be sure to fill out a home address as this will be used for future correspondence.
