About the role

Mandarins Student Care is seeking a Part-Time Student Care Teacher (ENGLISH) to join our team. You will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for primary school students after school hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop the English curriculum lessons aligned with the MOE syllabus and PSLE requirements
  • Prepare and update teaching and learning materials suited for different learning levels
  • Lead the class and deliver engaging, effective lessons covering composition, comprehension, grammar, oral communication, and vocabulary
  • Mark and return students' work promptly with clear and constructive feedback
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, adapting teaching strategies to support individual needs
  • Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress and learning goals
  • Provide short write-ups for the biweekly parent newsletter to share lesson highlights and learning content
  • Guide, train, and mentor junior teachers to ensure consistent teaching quality across the team

Requirements:

  • At least 2–3 years of teaching experience in a tuition centre, enrichment school, or MOE school (PSLE-level experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the MOE English syllabus and primary school exam format
  • Conversational Chinese (to support our bilingual environment)
  • Responsible, patient, and passionate about working with children
  • Commitment to providing a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for all students
  • Positive work attitude and integrity in all tasks
