Our client is a Japanese trading firm supplying a wide range of products—including steel, non-ferrous metals, food, fuel, chemicals, lumber, machinery, and more—to a diverse customer base. They are seeking an Assistant Trader / Trader to join their Steel Department.

Reporting Line: Assistant Trader / Trader → Manager → Senior Manager → General Manager

【 Responsibilities 】

- Conduct trading activities within the steel department, including sales and marketing.

- Manage existing accounts and develop new accounts for steel-related products.

- Communicate and coordinate with clients, overseas offices, and headquarters regarding daily operations.

- Oversee order processing and logistics arrangements.

- Manage customer credit lines and inventory risk.

- Ensure smooth coordination of all logistics activities.

- Monitor timely payments, both receivables and payables.

- Host and manage overseas guests and customers, ensuring a positive experience.

- Travel within the Asia-Pacific region to meet customers and suppliers.

- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

【 Requirement & Preferences 】

(Must)

- Diploma holder or above.

- 2–3 years of relevant work experience. (Inexperienced candidates with a strong interest in sales are welcome to apply.)

- Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with clients.

- Willing to travel frequently within the Asia-Pacific region to meet customers and suppliers.

(Advantageous)

- Knowledge of shipping processes and trade payment methods (e.g., Letter of Credit) is a plus.
