Our client is a Japanese Trading firm that supplies a broad spectrum of products, including steel, non-ferrous metals, food, fuel, chemicals, lumber, machinery, and many other items, to an equally diverse range of customers.

They are currently looking for a Assistant Trader/Trader (Material Department) for the Steel Department.

You will be reporting to the General Manager.

【Responsibilities 】

- Ensure timely management of trade receivables and payables.

- Conduct trading activities for commodities such as energy-related, chemical-related, and food products.

- Monitor market trends, gather information, analyze data, and formulate trading strategies.

- Negotiate buying and selling transactions.

- Handle claim settlement negotiations.

- Assess customer creditworthiness by reviewing financial reports.

- Opportunity for business trips within Asia.

- Additional responsibilities and detailed job scope will be shared during the interview.

【Requirements & Preferences】

(Must)

- Diploma holder or above.

- 2–3 years of sales experience in a trading company.

- Willing to travel frequently within the Asia-Pacific region to meet customers and suppliers.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to communicate effectively with clients.

- Basic knowledge of accounting.

- Able to read and analyze financial reports.

- Willing to work late hours when required.

- Available to join immediately.
