RESPONSIBILITIES

The Infrastructure Specialist in NTUC Health plays an important part in delivering IT infrastructure solutions and services that support business growth, security, and operational excellence. The position is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure its reliability, secured and in optimal performance. This position needs to work closely with vendors and various teams to deploy and optimize infrastructure solutions that support the organization's business objectives.

This position will be reporting to the Infrastructure Lead or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Google Workspace L3 support
• Manage and work with vendors to support GCP and AWS infrastructure platform
• Manage and work with maintaining planning, design, architecture, implementation and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure solutions and services (data centre, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, security, backup & monitoring) incl. evaluation and adoption of new technologies in alignment with the business plans and priorities in a consistent, holistic, and cost-effective manner
• Collaborate with HQ or cross function Tech teams to ensure the infrastructure setup supports the operation needs and adhere to best practices, standards, and security guidelines.
• Source, evaluate fit-for-purpose infrastructure solutions and manage vendors to implement the solutions are implemented in good quality and on time.
• Ensure vendors execute the system administration tasks, including server provisioning, configuration, and maintenance with good quality and are maintained orderly.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
• Implement backup and recovery solutions to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.
• Configure and manage network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls, to support connectivity and security requirements.
• Monitor network performance and implement optimizations to enhance reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot network issues and coordinate with network engineers or service providers for resolution.
• Implement automation and orchestration solutions to enhance infrastructure agility and resilience.
• Implement security measures, including access controls, encryption, and intrusion detection/prevention systems, to protect the infrastructure from cyber threats.
• Conduct audits and checks to ensure vendors maintain the infrastructure security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.
• Stay current with emerging infrastructure technologies.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management processes.
• Housekeep the servers and network equipment at right scale and optimal use.
• Continuously optimize workflows and processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to IT staff to ensure effective operation and support of infrastructure components.
• Collaborate with team members to share best practices and lessons learned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in server infrastructure design, deployment, and administration.
• Strong technical knowledge of server, network, storage, operating systems, virtualization and cloud technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with virtualization, cloud computing, and containerization/kubernetes technologies.
• Strong in Active Directory (AD), Sailpoint Identity Access Management (IAM) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Good knowledge of Networking: Juniper/Cisco switches, routers, AP, Fortinet/Palo Alto/other Firewall, Load balancer, link controllers, Advance profile systems NAC - Cisco ISE, Forti),SASE, Wireless networking.
• Good knowledge in DR and BCP - Strong in vendor management
• Fast Learner and strong executor with strong technical knowledge.
• Critical thinking, strong analytical skill and strong ability to handle stress.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications such as CCNP, MCSA, RHCE, Professional Cloud Architect (Google) Certified Containerization Architect certification or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Google Scripting, Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
