Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing safety management strategies and initiatives to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support the Safety Manager in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards.
- Monitor compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, and prepare reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and provide guidance on safety-related issues.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify safety deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a safety culture and ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate safety risks and develop appropriate control measures.
- Certifications in workplace health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
