We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Controller to manage and coordinate the day-to-day transportation and logistics operations of our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, efficient fleet utilization, and smooth communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
1. Transportation & Delivery Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate daily delivery and collection routes.
- Monitor driver assignments and ensure they follow schedules and routes efficiently.
- Resolve transport-related issues such as vehicle breakdowns or delivery delays.
- Liaise with clients to confirm delivery instructions and time slots.
2. Logistics Planning & Optimization
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Analyze transport and logistics data to identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with warehouse or operations teams to ensure goods are ready for dispatch.
3. Inventory & Shipment Monitoring
- Track the movement of goods in transit using GPS or fleet management systems.
- Ensure accurate documentation (delivery orders, consignment notes, etc.) accompanies every shipment.
- Report and follow up on discrepancies, damages, or losses during transit.
4. Communication & Coordination
- Act as the main point of contact between drivers, operations team, and clients.
- Update stakeholders on the status of deliveries or potential delays.
- Provide customer service support for transport-related queries or complaints.
- Oversee outsourced transport partners or subcontractors.
5. Fleet Management
- Monitor the condition and maintenance schedule of the vehicle fleet.
- Ensure vehicle inspections, servicing, and repairs are conducted on time.Maintain up-to-date records of vehicle documents such as road tax, insurance, and inspection certificates.
Requirements
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a logistics or transport operations role.
- Proficient in MS Office and logistics software (e.g., TMS, GPS tracking systems).
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-changing environments.
