About the role

As a key member of the engineering function, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for a diverse range of industrial automation projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Design, develop, and implement PLC and SCADA systems to automate and optimise industrial processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Write, test, and debug PLC code and SCADA software to ensure reliable, efficient, and user-friendly systems
  • Commission and troubleshoot PLC and SCADA systems on-site, providing support to clients as needed
  • Maintain and enhance existing PLC and SCADA systems, keeping them up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry standards
  • Contribute to the development of company-wide engineering standards, best practices, and documentation

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automation, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in PLC and SCADA system design, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in programming PLC and SCADA software, such as Siemens PLC TIA Portal, PCS7, AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA InTouch and iFIX SCADA
  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems, communication protocols, and network architecture
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience in project management and client-facing roles is highly desirable
