About the Role

We're looking for a resourceful Events & Marketing Assistant to help plan and run small-to-mid sized events while supporting day-to-day marketing tasks. You'll coordinate vendors and logistics, produce simple creatives, publish social posts, and keep our campaigns and event ops running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Events (60%)

  • Assist with event planning timelines, checklists, budgets, and run sheets.
  • Source and coordinate venues, caterers, AV, printers, and freelancers.
  • Manage RSVPs, guest lists, and onsite registration; prepare name tags and signage.
  • Set up rooms/booths, oversee vendors, and handle on-the-day operations.
  • Capture basic content (photos/short videos) and compile post-event reports.

Marketing (40%)

  • Draft short-form copy for social, email, and event pages.
  • Design basic assets in Canva (banners, slides, flyers, social tiles).
  • Schedule posts and emails; update website/event listings.
  • Maintain simple CRM lists (e.g., HubSpot/Sheets), track campaign metrics, and prepare weekly summaries.

What You'll Bring

  • 1–2 years' experience in events, marketing, or comms (internships count); students and return-to-work candidates welcome.
  • Strong organisation and follow-through; calm under time pressure.
  • Clear writing skills and professional client/vendor communication.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Google Workspace, and major social platforms (LinkedIn/Instagram/TikTok).
  • Comfortable with basic spreadsheets and simple analytics (e.g., UTM links, post reach).
  • Bonus: Adobe CC, basic video editing, email marketing tools (Mailchimp/HubSpot), photography.

Logistics

  • Hours: 15–20 per week; flexible scheduling; availability on select evenings/weekends during event periods.
  • Work mode: Hybrid—remote prep plus onsite support for events/meetings in Singapore.
  • Work eligibility: Must have the right to work in Singapore.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • On-time delivery of event milestones and zero critical day-of issues.
  • Event attendance vs. target and post-event feedback score.
  • Timely publishing of marketing assets and weekly activity report.
  • Accuracy of guest lists/CRM updates and vendor reconciliations.
