Make an Impact by

  • Designing and developing Mechanical and Electrical systems for new and existing data centers, including ACMV, Hydraulic, refrigeration, Fire Protection, Plumbing & Sanitary systems.
  • Performing engineering calculations (cooling load, hydraulic, etc.), equipment sizing and procurement, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.
  • Collaborating with the core team on data centre mechanical designs from basis of design, feasibility, concept, detailed design to construction documents for new builds and upgrades.
  • Serving as Mechanical SME, working with consultants through design, procurement, bidding, delivery, and installation, resolving issues as they arise.
  • Updating and maintaining design specifications, drawings, standards, and reviewing equipment submittals.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to translate technical requirements into executable plans.
  • Understanding BMS/DCIM systems, involved in system architecture and point scheduling, and handling BMS/DCIM enhancement projects.
  • Evaluating the design, construction, and operation of mission-critical facilities and MEP components.
  • Participating in and reviewing MEP designs for new data centers and fit-outs.
  • Developing innovative solutions to enhance MEP design for future needs.
  • Owning conceptual designs for upgrades, capacity enhancements, and efficiency improvements.
  • Supporting the FM team as SME, understanding design limitations and risks.
  • Promoting standards to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Assisting operations with electrical system issues and providing solutions.
  • Conducting technical reviews, proposals, and witnessing commissioning tests.
  • Performing site inspections, engineering evaluations, and system audits.
  • Maintaining positive relations with partners, vendors, and internal teams.

Skills for Success

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in designing and maintaining mechanical systems for data centers or similar facilities.
  • Knowledge of electrical infrastructure systems in mission-critical environments.
  • Experience with fast-track projects and upgrades.
  • Fundamental understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, fire protection, plumbing, and sanitary systems.
  • Ability to incorporate renewable energy systems and strong knowledge of codes and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with attention to safety and detail.
