Job Description

1. Sourcing and Supplier Management

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.

  • Negotiate terms and pricing.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors.

  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and service standards.

2. Purchasing Activities

  • Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

  • Monitor and track stock levels to ensure adequate inventory and ensure timely delivery.

  • Verify receipt and quality of goods.

3. Cost Control and Budgeting

  • Analyse procurement costs to find areas for savings.

  • Develop cost-saving strategies and supplier alternatives.

4. Inventory and Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with various departments to maintain optimal stock levels tailored to their specific product needs and requests.

  • Capable of sourcing and identifying alternative products when needed.

  • Coordinate with logistics to track and manage shipments.

5. Compliance and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Solid understanding of online purchasing processes and the ability to communicate effectively on platforms such as Taobao and Shopee

  • The candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in purchasing and sourcing.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel, Word & PowerPoint

  • Experience in using ERP/Navision system is a big advantage

Requirements

  • Diploma in Purchasing / Supply Chain / Logistics

  • Preferably candidates with experience currently in F&V, FMCG, Supermarket & retail

  • Immediate or earliest start date will be advantageous
