We are partnering with a reputable Singapore shipyard that specialises in ship repair, conversion and newbuilding projects. They are looking to hire an Estimator who will play a key role in developing accurate costing and competitive quotations that support both commercial success and operational feasibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates covering labour, materials, equipment and subcontracting for repair, conversion and newbuilding projects
  • Review project specifications, drawings and client requirements to define accurate scope of work
  • Develop and submit tenders or quotations in response to client inquiries and bidding opportunities
  • Coordinate closely with procurement, engineering and production teams to verify pricing inputs and delivery schedules
  • Participate in tender meetings, site visits and client discussions when required
  • Maintain an updated database of rates and pricing information and provide inputs for cost analysis and project reviews
    Support cost control efforts and contribute to strategies that improve profit margins and estimation accuracy

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in shipyard estimation for repair, conversion or newbuilding
  • Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Solid understanding of the shipbuilding and ship repair space, vessel structures and systems
