Responsibilities:

  • Communicates clearly with patients, explains procedures, addresses concerns, ensures comfort, and practices proper patient identification and Universal Precautions during blood collection.
  • Performs venepuncture, sorts and labels specimens accurately, ensures timely dispatch to the lab, and maintains accurate records in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
  • Collaborates with healthcare staff to ensure patient safety, escalates issues or adverse events, and reports equipment faults or collection difficulties promptly.
  • Participates in ongoing training, contributes to process improvements, mentors new staff, and takes on additional duties as readiness and competence grow.

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum GCE 'N' / 'O' Level, NITEC or Higher NITEC
  • Phlebotomist certified by recognized institution
  • A good team player, meticulous, service-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
