Job Description Overview

1. Provide System Administration including but not limited to the following:

a. Change parameter to system software;

b. Create, delete and modify, define domains;

c. Create, delete and modify system utilities and other scripts;

d. Create, delete and modify system and user login scripts;

e. Create, delete and modify drive mappings;

f. (Create, delete, revoke, disable and modify user accounts;

g. Grant and revoke access to directories/ files;

h. Create, delete and modify print servers and queues;

i. Create, delete and modify directories;

j. Create, delete and modify and grant access to application services;

k. Create, delete and modify application access accounts;

l. Develop and monitor backup/ recovery jobs, cron jobs, procedures and

schedules;

m. Schedule and execute production jobs;

n. Maintain backups of configurations of the web, application and database

o. servers;

p. Perform SSL certificate renewal for the systems;

q. Create, delete, deploy and modify File Transfer Program (FTP) / Secure File

Transfer Protocol (SFTP) accounts and scripts;

r. Manage the encryption/ decryption keys for the server;

s. Conduct proactive performance tuning whenever required on all the IT system

and database parameters;

t. Conduct proactive housekeeping of all log files in the system, database and

application and keep them for a minimum period as requested by the

Customer;

u. Monitor proactively and alert the Customer on the potential problems on

hardware and software which may affect the system availability and

performance; and

v. Security hardening of the servers.

1. Install, un-install or upgrade the system software, inclusive of operating system and its associated system software.

2. Schedule and execute production jobs in accordance with the specifications as stipulated by the Customer.

3. Work with server vendor or other third-party vendor to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve all server-related problems.

4. Document and maintain server administration guides, logical system diagrams and

operation manuals. Create such documents if they are currently not available.

1. Perform level 1 troubleshooting and maintenance for storage. Work with level 2 storage teams for more in depth troubleshooting if required.

2. Backup and recovery of all operating systems, application programs, users/ business data of the

Customer's environment, configurations of the web, application and database servers.

1. Perform escort of vendors as necessary within the customer's premises.

Personnel Requirements:

1. project clearance required before onboarding

2. Willingness to work in a 24x7 standby rotation

3. Possess the relevant qualifications and/or be proficient in the following areas:

a. Azure, VMware Virtualization, Microsoft Active Directory, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), SolarWinds, Veritas - Enterprise NetBackup, Nutanix.

b. Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy.

c. Minimally certified in Microsoft Certified Azure related certification or equivalent.

1. Minimally three (3) years hands-on experience in administration of servers

2. Preferably experience in the following Symantec Backup Products and Nutanix HCI

3. Good understanding with application tiers, IIS, Databases

4. Good understanding with Change Management processes

5. Basic Networking knowledge is a plus
