Lab Programme Manager

Position overview
- Oversees the daily operations of a lab, ensuring experiments are conducted efficiently and safely, while also managing staff, documentation, and equipment. Develop and maintain lab policies, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and often supervise research and development teams. Work as a key member in coordinating technical transfers from HQ and localization of tasks.
Duties & responsibilities
- Operational Management:Oversee daily lab operations, including ensuring experiments are conducted efficiently and safely.
- Team Management:Supervise and mentor lab staff, potentially including research and development teams.
- Policy and Compliance:Develop and maintain laboratory policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Resource Management:Manage lab resources, oversee procurement of supplies, and maintain equipment.
- Strategic Planning:Contribute to strategic planning, potentially including technical transfer of technology from HQ. Localization of technical transfers that align with HQ strategic directions
- Communication and Collaboration:Communicate effectively with scientists, researchers, local and regional stakeholders, and collaborate with other departments or organizations.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum degree in relevant field (Chemical engineering / )
- Strong background in a relevant scientific discipline
- Relevant experience in lubricant / oil additive background preferred.
- Excellent organizational and managerial skills, with the ability to manage operations.
- Effective communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems, and analyze data and metrics.
- Familiarity with relevant laboratory equipment and software.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and compliance standards.
