Our client, a leading name in the global aviation industry, is embarking on a transformative digital journey to redefine how data and artificial intelligence power the future of air travel. We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Artificial Intelligence & Data Vice President to lead and scale enterprise-wide AI, data science, and data engineering capabilities.

This is a rare opportunity to drive innovation at scale — developing advanced AI solutions, pioneering large language model (LLM) and generative AI initiatives, and shaping a data-driven culture across commercial, operational, and customer-facing functions.

About the Role

As the Artificial Intelligence & Data Vice President, you will define and execute the enterprise AI and data strategy while leading a high-performing team of data scientists, AI engineers, and data professionals. You will serve as a thought leader across the organization, bridging business vision and cutting-edge AI technologies to deliver measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the organization's AI and data strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing multidisciplinary AI and data team.
  • Drive innovation in AI/ML, including large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and AI agent architectures.
  • Oversee enterprise data architecture, governance, and infrastructure across hybrid cloud environments.
  • Champion MLOps, LLMOps, and DataOps best practices for scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.
  • Build partnerships with hyperscalers, technology vendors, and research collaborators to strengthen internal capabilities.
  • Represent the company in AI and data forums, standards groups, and public-private collaborations.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related discipline (PhD preferred).
  • Over 15 years of experience in enterprise AI/data systems, including more than 5 years in senior leadership or executive roles.
  • Proven success in deploying large-scale AI systems involving LLMs, MLOps, and data platforms.
  • Strong technical foundation in cloud and distributed systems (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience building and motivating high-performing technical teams.
  • Prior exposure to aviation, travel tech, or complex enterprise environments will be an advantage.
