Job Description
MISSION

The Digital Content Specialist at IFS is responsible for managing and creating engaging content for the school's social media platforms and supporting website content development. The role involves collaborating closely with staff, students, parents, and teachers to strengthen community relationships and enhance the school's online presence, reflecting vibrant school life and fostering community engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Content Specialist: Core Responsibilities

Content Development and Management

  • Create, write, and publish diverse content (text, images, videos, audio) for social media including posts, reels, and ads.
  • Ensure content aligns with school values, is engaging, and informative.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Coordinate with teachers, staff, directors, and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging.

Social Media Management

  • Develop and implement a social media editorial calendar.
  • Create and manage campaigns aligned with marketing goals.
  • Produce engaging content across platforms.
  • Respond to community inquiries and comments promptly.
  • Monitor and report on engagement metrics.
  • Enhance online presence and monitor competitors' media presence.

Website and Intranet Support

  • Assist with website content updates and stakeholder coordination.
  • Create and publish online content, ensuring quality and compliance with regulations.
  • Support SEO and search engine visibility efforts.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 3 years' experience in digital content creation or social media management. Key skills include:

  • Creating high-quality, engaging content in various formats.
  • Deep knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and strategies.
  • Relationship-building within communities.
  • Technical proficiency with CMS, SEO, analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic design skills with Adobe Creative Suite or similar.

A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or related fields is required; relevant certifications are a plus. Proficiency in English and French is highly desirable.

WORK RELATIONSHIP

Collaborates with Marketing, Communications, Events, Admissions, and other departments, as well as teachers, leadership, parents, and partners.

REPORTING

Reports to the Marketing Communication Manager under the supervision of the Director of Marketing Communications & Admissions.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Full-time position, 42 hours/week. Salary based on IFS salary scale.
