Occupational Therapist

Singapore Dementia Singapore Full time $60,000 - $180,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention for persons with dementia and their carers.
  • Develop an individualised care plan for the person living with dementia and carers to live well with dementia.
  • Assess the well-being of persons with dementia and implement person-centred strategies to address behaviours of concern and enhance activity engagement.
  • Conduct individual or group interventions.
  • Provide occupational therapy consultation, training and support to relevant members of the care team, family carers, and domestic helpers.
  • Provide community case management service for the person with dementia and the carer.
  • Adopt a transdisciplinary approach to care and work with multi-disciplinary team members for better care outcomes.
  • Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/ Degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC).
  • Has obtained full registration with AHPC.
  • At least two years of professional practice experience.
  • Experience working in dementia care, geriatrics or mental health settings preferred.
