Data Engineer

Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as aData Engineer, Database Administrator, or in a similar role.
  • StrongSQL proficiencyand experience working withMySQLor other relational databases.
  • Expertise inETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency inExcel, including advanced features likemacros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
  • Hands-on experience withscripting languages(e.g.,Python, Perl) for data processing and automation.
  • Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to workindependently and collaborativelyin a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities

Data Management & Development:
  • Design, build, and maintainscalable data management systems.
  • Ensure that data systems align withbusiness needs and industry best practices.
  • Integratenew data technologiesand tools to enhance existing infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintaincustom software componentsand analytics applications.

Database & Spreadsheet Optimization:
  • Design and optimizedatabase schemas, queries, and indexing strategiesfor performance and reliability.
  • Manage and maintainMySQL databases, ensuringdata integrity, security, and efficiency.
  • Leverageadvanced Excel techniquesto analyze, manipulate, and transform datasets effectively.

ETL & Data Processing:
  • Develop and implementETL pipelinesto extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
  • Automate manual data workflows and optimizedata delivery and infrastructure.
  • Enhancedata aggregation, mapping, and transformationfor improved reporting and analytics.

Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders tounderstand data needsand provide technical solutions.
  • Builddata tools and infrastructureto support analytics and data science teams.
  • Generatereports, dashboards, and visualizationsthat highlight key trends and insights.

Collaboration & Documentation:
  • Work closely withdata scientists, analysts, and engineersto drive data initiatives.
  • Providesupport and trainingto end-users on database and spreadsheet functionalities.
  • Maintaincomprehensive documentationof processes, tools, and workflows for knowledge sharing.
