Adecco is partnering with an international bank to hire a Senior Remittance Officer, responsible for handling inward and outward remittance transactions. The role involves processing payments accurately while adhering to internal procedures and regulatory guidelines.

about the job

  • Process incoming and outgoing remittance transactions, including SWIFT payments and local fund transfers.
  • Verify payment instructions, supporting documents and customer details to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure transactions comply with regulatory requirements such as AML/CFT and internal control policies.
  • Handle transaction investigations, amendments and follow-ups with counterparties or internal teams.
  • Reconcile remittance-related accounts and resolve any mismatches or discrepancies.
  • Assist in identifying and escalating suspicious transactions as per compliance guidelines.
  • Support audits, regulatory reporting, and internal reviews related to remittance operations.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system enhancement testing as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

skills and experience required

  • Minimum diploma in any discipline.
  • At least 5 years of remittance experience within the banking and financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with SWIFT, MEPS, FAST, GIRO and international/local payment systems.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements related to cross-border payments and AML.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under tight timelines.
